Kia Increases Car Prices Without Mentioning Any Reason

Kia Lucky Motors has increased the prices of Kia vehicles without giving a reason. However, increasing the prices of their products due to a number of reasons, which include changes in production costs, changes in demand, and changes in government regulations, etc. is not unusual for the companies. Kia may have chosen not to publicly release the reason for the price change for competitive or strategic reasons. The company's announcement thanked the dealer for his support and said the revised pricing will take effect from his April 1, 2023.

Picanto New Price  

  • Kia Picanto M/T cost was Rs. 3,300,000 but after an increase of Rs. 50,000 now it costs Rs. 3,350,000.
  • Kia Picanto A/T, while automatic transmission now costs Rs. 3,625,000 instead of Rs. 3,550,000 as its price jumped by Rs. 75,000.


Stonic New Price 

  • Kia Stonic EX's current price for this variant is Rs. 5,350,000 instead of Rs. 5,200,000 as the price goes up by Rs. 150,000.
  • Whereas, Kia Stonic EX+ ex factory price is Rs. 5,930,000 while comparing to the old price of Rs. 5,730,000. The company dramatically increased its price by Rs. 200,000.


Revised Price of Sportage 

  • The price of Sportage FWD was increased by Rs. 150,000 , now people can buy this car in high rate of Rs. 7,940,000 compared to old price of Rs.7,790,000.
  • Similarly, the price of Sportage AWD is shoot up by Rs. 200,000. This variant’s previous price was Rs. 8,370,000 but now it will be buy in Rs. 8,570,000. 


Sorento Updated Price  

  • Sorento 2.4L FWD invoice was Rs. 9,540,000 but nowadays it costs Rs. 10,040,000 as its price is climbed by Rs. 500,000.
  • Similarly, Sorento 2.4L AWD had a price of Rs.10,390,000 a few days ago. Now it costs Rs. 10,890,0000. Price is drastically upgraded by Rs. 500,000.

The sales of the vehicles may be affected due to the increase in the price of that model depending upon how the vehicle is positioned in the market, the extent to which the price has changed, and the competitive landscape of the industry. Consumers may switch to other alternative companies that are providing alike features at a lower price and become more sensitive to the price. It might be necessary for the manufacturer to increase the price as well in order to remain competitive in the market and manage the increasing cost of production. 

Furthermore, it is also possible that the sales of the vehicles may be affected a little or maybe not at all due to the change in price because people with brand loyalty may still be willing to purchase their vehicles of a particular model at higher prices, who had positive past experiences. Other reasons for paying higher prices might be the high customer satisfaction ratings and strong brand reputation. Either way, before considering making a purchase consumers have to examine the costs and benefits of the particular model such as its quality, price, features, and overall value when making decisions, as well as shop around in order to make sure to get the best deal possible.
